Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) is a pioneering science university in Finland, bringing together the fields of science and business since 1969. LUT centres itself around some of the key questions facing humankind: clean energy and water; circular economy and sustainable business.
LBM, the School of Business and Management, now seeks to appoint to two professorships, namely a Professor/Associate Professor in Growth Entrepreneurship and an Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship. The professorships are of strategic importance to the University being strongly connected to LUT’s mission, goals and values.
LBM’s mission is to educate research-based problem solvers in the fields of business, industrial management and software engineering. The School focusses on understanding the factors that lead to sustainable value creation - approaches that enable growth, renewal and internationalization of firms in a way that is economically, ecologically and socially sustainable.
Appointees to both professorships will be reputable scholars in their own field of expertise with a demonstrable track record of publications in top-tier journals and research funding from relevant bodies such as the ERC. Applicants at more junior levels will be considered based on their pipeline works and forthcoming potential within their area of expertise. Candidates will have outstanding teaching credentials and the passion, ambition, skills and potential to play a substantial role in enabling LBM to fulfil its mission and in actively encouraging societal engagement.
