Norlha is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious association based in Lausanne, Switzerland, that supports remote communities in the Himalayas in building capacities that will allow their sustainable development, through integrated projects in food security, income generation and environment protection, with a strong focus on supporting women. In order to expand and diversify its operations in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet/China, Norlha is looking for a:
Project Formulation Manager (M/F)

Mission and activities
- The Project Formulation Manager reports to the Head of Operations
- Guide, coach and supervise staff of the unit
- Foster the interaction of the project formulation unit with other units in Norlha.
- Recruit new staff of the unit
- Develop and ensure the application of a project formulation strategy and tools by staff of the unit
- Lead and contribute to the search and assessment project opportunities
- Lead and contribute to analytical studies relevant for project formulation
- Manage the inputs of external contributors
Candidate Profile
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in designing projects and drafting proposals
- Competent in information management, planning, and procedure development
- Familiarity with international cooperation a definite asset
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English and preferably also in French
- Skills in interpersonal and intercultural communication, process facilitation
- Highly motivated and dynamic personality, eager to take initiatives

Working time: 30%
Location: Norlha office in Lausanne. Partial home-based work is possible
Expected start date: as soon as possible upon mutual agreement.
This part-time, long-term volunteer position is not paid and an applicant must have a currently valid working permit in Switzerland
