Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company (KADCO) is a company owned by the Government of United Republic of Tanzania charged to manage and develop Kilimanjaro International Airport and its estate.
KADCO is seeking to employ competent, experienced, highly organized and self-motivated Tanzanians to fill the vacant positions described below:-
10. Firemen Commanding Officers (KADCO/
EXT/01/2016/FCO)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and coordinate staff in the Fire and Rescue Services
• Implement policy and procedures of Rescue and Fire Fighting at KIA as specified in ICAO standards and recommended practices
• Ensure that RFFS category 9 at KIA is maintained at all the times
Ensure the RFFS personnel's carryout regular drills exercises
• Arrange For Regular Checking of Fire Hydrants and Equipment
• Ensure consistent implementation of safety management system within the section as defined in the Kilimanjaro Aerodrome
Manual and maintain proper records and documentation
• Ensure the timely and regular maintenance of fire fighting vehicles and other rescue equipments
• Provide quality and adequate supply of Fire Fighting and Rescue Materials and protective gear required for operations and for Training
Ensure that all RFFS staff are physically, mentally and professionally fit to perform the assigned firefighting and rescue duties.
Organize Fire Training to fire crew and other staff of relevant organization on the airport area
Coordinate fire drill exercises with other section where relevant
Arrange for fire safety Audit to be made regularly for the whole Airport specially those areas of high fire risks such as fire farm,
Terminal building and cargo
Initiate, plan and prepare budget for maintenance, installation and upgrading of equipments and facilities for the section.
Compile periodic reports in relation to expenditure, status 0 RFFS facilities and safety standards.
Establish hazard and risk assessment register for the section and update it when changes or new development occur
Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Bachelor degree or Advanced
Diploma in any science discipline from a recognized Institution
Possessing certificates in Advanced Fireman ship course(s)
Certificate in Emergence Response and Crisis
Management is an added advantage
Must have not less than five (5) year experience in commanding level
Possession of Firemen Training of trainers/ instructors attributes will be an added advantage and Midwives Board.
Must have a valid Nursing license.
Computer literacy
Must have not less than three (3) years of relevant working experience
