Role overview
The primary objective of this role is to bridge the gap between technical advisors, counter parts teachers in Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) centres and VETA management. The ideal person should be able to advise VETA on curriculum development, orient technical volunteers on the very basic skills of coaching/teaching methodologies between them (volunteers) and VETA teachers. |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualifications (essential): Professional qualifications – essential Preferably Masters Degree in education/science or similar qualifications with vocational education experience. Experience of more than five (5) years at the managerial level or senior position in the field of vocational education background. Have vast experience in working with various vocational institutions Professional skills/ competencies: - Desirable Experienced in vocational education systems or similar institutions. The prospective volunteer should have extensive experience in vocational education background. Ability to work in multi partners’ project and with African context experience preferable. Experience in gas and oil related activities is preferably considered as key to the position Experienced in management skills, art of communication and ability to coaching as trainer of trainers (ToT) for other volunteers Good facilitation skills especially in vocational education or related aspect |
Preference is given to a person with vocational education/training background |
