ME&A is recruiting a local Zambian consultant for a mid-term performance evaluation of a health program in Zambia. The project to be evaluated focuses on social marketing of health services and products in HIV prevention, family planning, malaria, and maternal and child health. The purpose of this evaluation is a) to assess progress towards intended project results; b) recommend modifications to project activities or priorities to address implementation issues, apply lessons learned, etc.; and c) determine whether gains made through the project are sustainable beyond the life of the project. The candidate must possess experience working with or evaluating health projects. Other qualifications for the candidate include:
- Minimum of five years of experience in designing, implementing or evaluating health programs, or similar work;
- Advanced degree (PhD, MPH, MPhil, MSc or equivalent) in relevant field;
- Demonstrated knowledge and work experience in child health, integrated reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and STIs and/or malaria;
- Data analysis and/or statistical analysis skills are desirable but not required;
- Must be fluent in English.
The evaluation has an estimated overall timeframe of 3 months.
