PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Provides support to the Performance Management cluster in the design, development and implementation of learning and training courses, workshops and events. Provides administrative and logistical support and effective and timely liaison with staff and concerned parties internally and externally on learning and training related matters.

KEY EXPECTED RESULTS 1. Provides support to the Human Resources Manager and team in the Performance Management cluster in the design and development of learning/training courses through gathering information, research, assisting with layout and design, coordinating and liasing with internal and external parties.
- Provides support in updating, maintaining and quality control of course completion metrics. Post/upload/update and maintain content in the relevant learning management systems used, schedule staff for training, track and monitor staff completion of training and prepare periodic monitoring reports.
- Assists team in organizing and conducting courses, workshops and events. Prepares and organizes distribution of materials for participants. Ensures availability of training venues and required equipment and supplies. Provides logistical and secretarial support at workshop and events.
- Provides procurement of services support. Prepares purchase requisitions in SAP/FLS, drafts documentation for CRC submissions, and ensures documentation in filed properly.
- Provides general administrative support to team by drafting routine correspondence and maintaining files and records of learning and training related matters. Prepares all travel documentation and assists with new office set for cluster members (computer help desk, telephones, etc.)
- Assists with preparation and dissemination of communication materials on learning and training (e.g. newsletters, notices, broadcast messages, etc.)
- Provides support to the e-PAS help desk, as needed and any other tasks as deemed relevant by supervisor for operational efficiency of the cluster.
COMPETENCIES OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE - Completion of Secondary Education (i.e. High School Diploma) preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in a related field. - At least five years relevant work experience, including at least two years progressive experience with research, design and layout of learning materials and websites. Knowledge of the structure and functions of UNICEF and its work desirable. - Must pass the UN ASAT (Administrative Support Assessment Test) in English. (Please mention in your cover letter whether you passed the UN English ASAT). - Fluency in English (oral and written). Knowledge of another UN language an asset. - Communicates effectively to varied audiences, especially in relation to analyzing data and presenting it in visually innovative methods; Presents information with skill and confidence and responds quickly to the needs of an audience and to their reactions and feedback; structures information appealingly to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience; presents information in a well-structured and logical yet innovative way.- Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment. - Sets high levels of quality and productivity for self. - Analyzes and integrates verbal, numerical and other types of data. - Rapidly learns new tasks relevant to own job and quickly commits information to memory. - Sets self clearly defined tasks in line objectives set by the line manager. - Follows spoken and written instructions without unnecessarily challenging others' authority.
