Cargill Build Project Manager

As Project Manager Construction you will be responsible for overall management of assigned capital projects for operations facilities for a specified geographic region including managing the project budget, contractor performance and safety practices. You will be a member of the Global Engineering Team focusing on construction of new animal feed plants in Western and East Europe, Jordan and Africa. You will collaborate with Project Site Managers, Regional Operations Managers and sourcing teams but also with contractors and external suppliers.

Major Tasks

• Ensure Capital Projects execution is in line with Portfolio and Project Management, Commitment Process, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Construction Best Practices.
• Be familiar and follow the Cargill Animal Nutrition project management program during project execution.
• Manage & control flow of front end loading project responsibilities to meet project time objectives.
• Monitor the project permit process to meet time objectives.
• Produce regular reports of construction & project activities.
• Continuous Improvement by maintaining awareness of developing project & construction issues in our industry
• You will be reporting to the Global Engineering Manager.
• You will be travelling on a regular basis (2-3 months) to oversee project budget, schedule, safety, & quality.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering of Construction Management.
• Minimum 5-years of international experience of Large> $5MM Engineering and Construction Projects.
• Self-starter, decision maker with high organizational skills.
• Leading multi-culture and diverse teams.
• Working in a multitasking/changing environment.
• Fluent in English. Any additional language is an asset.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Excel, Projects and Power Point and AutoCAD.
