The Monitoring and Research Officer is responsible for supporting the Faith to Action (F2A) network secretariat in successfully planning and implementing the F2A project’s M&E framework and operational research activities.

The Monitoring and Research Officer is responsible for supporting the Faith to Action (F2A) network secretariat in successfully planning and implementing the F2A project’s M&E framework and operational research activities.
She/is responsible for designing, setting up and implementing a comprehensive project M&E framework including an impact assessment.
The M&R officer is responsible for capturing outcomes and impact of the F2A project activities.
General areas of responsibility:
- Developing an M&E framework including an impact assessment. This includes developing tools and processes for capturing, analysing and sharing key information and knowledge
- Monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes and impact. This will entail the use of methods such as capacity assessments, intense period debriefs, focus group discussions, policy maker ratings, panel discussions and others.
- Providing technical assistance and training to F2A secretariat staff and F2A Project Partners on monitoring their activities and outputs.
- Implementation of an impact study. A key assignment will be to show how the project relates to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs monitoring framework.
- Provide M&E input for regular reports according to DSW guidelines and procedures
- Prepare and facilitate a M&E planning meeting
- Design of research methodologies in cooperation with programme manager F2A, supervisor and other stakeholders.
- Implementation of at least two research pieces: an “analysis of SRHR practices of different faith perspectives” and a “mapping of faith organisations’ SRHR initiatives”.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- University degree (MA or MSc preferred)
- Excellent English language skills (oral and written) required, additional language skills advantageous (French, Arabic and Swahili preferred)
- Proven strong interest in monitoring and evaluation
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Interest in inter-religious work, sensitivity to different faiths
- Knowledge of data-management software and computer skills
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Ability to work effectively in teams, build positive working relationships and foster open communications.
- Ability to work in international and multicultural settings, including international travel.
