Position Description:
The Web Officer is responsible for supporting the PR Manager with the overall management of the website(s) as well as the social media tools and PR activities. This includes the websites, facebook, blogs, twitter, working with designers to produce promotion materials and seeking corporate advertisers. He/she will report to the PR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
Applicants for this position should be Tanzanian nationals or lawful residents who possess the following minimum qualifications:
- At least first degree and above on Web design/Social sciences.
- Two years work experience and above in a closely related position.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively both in English and Swahili.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of Joomla and Typo 3.
- Passionate about web design and social media tools.
- Carry out multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
- Attention to detail
