Medical Officers

Ref: HRD/MO/11/12
 
Reporting to the Accident & Emergency Coordinator, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Management, stabilization and treatment of patients.
  • Providing clinical support including admission, discharge or referral to the appropriate consultants.
  • Undertaking of clinical procedures in Accident & Emergency, Wards andClinics.
  • ICU rotation.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Participating in continuous medical education programmes.
  • Participating in major disaster management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support,Paediatric Advanced Life Support qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
  • Valid practice licence.
  • Two (2) years post qualification in an emergency setting.

Medical Records Officer

Ref: HRD/MRO/11/12
 
Reporting to the Chief Medical Records Officer, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Registration of patients and inputting their demographic details in the system.
  • Filing patients medical record files as per the Straight Numerical filing system.
  • Filing laboratory reports and radiological films in the patient files.
  • Preparing new medical record files and retrieval of the same.
  • Booking appointments for outpatient clinics.
  • Recording the outpatient diagnosis in the morbidity register.
  • Compiling of outpatient statistics daily.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma in Health Records & Information Technology from a recognised institution.
  • One (1) year work experience in a busy hospital.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations.
Radiologists

Ref: HRD/RAD/11/12
 
Reporting to the Chief Radiologist, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Evaluating diagnostic images to ensure they are of diagnostic value.
  • Providing reports for diagnostic images.
  • CT imaging and interpretation.
  • Routine and Doppler ultrasound imaging.
  • Intravenous administration of contrast material.
  • Fluoroscopic screening for special procedures.
  • Providing guidance to Radiographers and Ultrasonographers.
  • Participating in Hospital and Departmental CMEs.
  • Contributing to medical imaging research and writing articles.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Masters of Medicine in Radiology.
  • Three (3) years experience in a busy Radiology Department.
  • Proven skills in emergency radiology.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations.
  • Valid registration and annual practice licences.
  • Exposure to computer aided reporting will be an added advantage.
Internal Audit Assistant

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Participating in planning the scope and methodology of audits.
  • Conducting routine audits as per the audit plan.
  • Determining the accuracy and reliability of accounting records byanalyzing systems and internal controls.
  • Writing and providing audit reports.
  • Defending audit reports.
  • Carrying out spot checks and special assignments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • CPA (K), ACCA
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting or its equivalent.
  • IT literate and proficient in accounting software applications.
  • Three (3) years experience in auditing.
  • Detail oriented.

  • Strong analytical skills.
Customer Service Co-ordinator

Reporting to the Marketing and Customer Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Developing customer service policies and standards for the Hospital.
  • Planning and executing customer service programs and activities.
  • Coordinating with other departments on complaints resolution.
  • Conducting patient and client visits to seek feedback, monitor changes and identify the need for new services.
  • Auditing customer service standards.
  • Liaising with outsourced public relations agency to capture newsworthy articles.
  • Training staff on customer service standards, requirements and expectations of the Hospital.
  • Monitoring and measuring customer service levels of the Hospital.
  • Benchmarking on and influencing the practice of emerging customer service trends.
  • Supervising the performance of the customer service staff.
  • Preparing and managing customer service budget.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Business degree.
  • A Masters degree in public relations will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in excellent customer service delivery.
  • Five (5) years progressive working experience in a dynamic service organisation.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies.

Legal Officer

Ref: HRD/ LO/ 11 /12
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Providing in house legal advisory services.
  • Ensuring legal compliance in all activities of the Hospital.
  • Safe custody of and keeping a register of all Hospital statutory records, contracts and leases.
  • Participating in negotiations and contract development.
  • Providing logistical support for Board and Board Committee meetings.
  • Participating in arranging effective insurance cover for the Hospital.
  • Implementing membership initiatives for Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) members.
  • Customer service contact point for KHA members.
  • Preparing and managing the KHA and Legal department budget.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Laws degree.
  • Advocate of the High Court.
  • Five (5) years corporate or commercial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills.
Procurement and Stores Assistants

Reporting to the Procurement and Stores Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Ensuring goods and services are procured in line with the Hospitals policies and procedures.
  • Processing purchase order requisitions and ensuring they are duly approved by the relevant signatories.
  • Raising all stock and non stock items purchase orders.
  • Ensuring all invoices are forwarded promptly to accounts for payment.
  • Preparing detailed and accurate progress reports on the status of various requisitions.
  • Preparing detailed and accurate delivery reports on various purchase orders.
  • Processing all requests, local purchase orders, goods received notes and invoices.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
  • One (1) year work experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High integrity.
