The British Council is seeking experienced Technical Leads to implement an upcoming donor funded justice sector programme in South Sudan. The overall goals of this programme, as the British Council envisages, will centre on improving access to justice, and strengthening the criminal justice system of South Sudan. The position is contingent on the British Council being awarded a contract.
Some Essential Qualities • Experience of working on a large scale development programme in a long term (3+ years) role.
• Demonstrable experience of working on justice orientated programmes in either formal or informal justice.
• High level knowledge of the justice sector in South Sudan, in terms of its method, capacity and interaction between formal and informal systems – preferably complimented by experience of working/living there.
• Relevant professional/academic qualifications.
• Experience of working on a DFID/EC funded (or equivalent) programme.
• Experience of working in justice reform in similar countries, preferably within the region.
