The Kenya National of (KNAS) is a learned, non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit making body founded on 2nd November 1983, and registered with the Attorney General Chambers of the government of Kenya.
The academy traces its roots to the Easter Africa Academy of sciences founded in 1963. Its fundamental aim is to cooperate and collaborate with the Government of Kenya, other scientific organizations and the general public in the mobilization of the scientific community in Kenya for the promotion of the scholarly application of all aspects of science and technology for national development.
Established under the auspices of the National council for science and technology (NCST), a government organization responsible for advising the government of Kenya on all matters related to science and technology, KNAS therefore derives its authority from the government through the science and technology act, Cap 250 Laws of Kenya, with the president of the republic of Kenya as its patron.
1) Program Officer
Duties of the Program Officer will include:

1) Program Officer
Duties of the Program Officer will include:
- Servicing the various committees of KNAS
- Spearhead the preparation of research and project proposals.
- Processing conference reports, publications and project documents.
- Maintenance and update of website and database.
- Any other duties assigned by the Academy Administrator.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Minimum Bachelors Degree and relevant discipline with working experience of at least five (5) years in a similar position.
- Be conversant with the preparation of research and project proposals.
- Be able to serve Committees.
- Should be computer literate supported by relevant ICT certificates.
- Should have experience in website maintenance.
Terms of Employment
- Competitive salary and gratuity will be offered to the right candidates.
- Engagement will be on a two year contract, renewable by mutual consent.
