Continuous Improvement Lead / Black Belt Training Aggreko International - South and East Africa

The role is open to applications from existing Black Belts, Green Belts or candidate’s with experience in engineering, finance, power production, supply chain with some experience or interest in operational excellence or continuous improvement.
 
The role of Continuous Improvement Lead is an integral part of the Operational Excellence Black Belt team, facilitating improvement across all areas to meet our business goals. All positions will require frequent travel.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and project managing larger improvement projects across the region
• Driving and delivering the project objectives and benefits
• Sharing best practice across the business
• Acting as a trainer, motivator and coach to the Green Belts
• Advising local management teams and steering committees
• Participating in appropriate review activities e.g. PCAT( Process Capability Assessment Tool), SDM (Strategy Deployment Matrix)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an operations/line management role or specialist experience in an engineering, finance, supply chain, power production or service discipline in an international organization.
• Preferably Green Belt trained with a proven track record for completing improvement projects.
• Thorough knowledge and skills using Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio and SharePoint. 
• The ability to analyze and interpret data, understand processes, construct project plans and objectives, benefits tracking and project reporting are all key to this role.
• The ability to create a sense of excitement about taking on new challenges and a belief in your capabilities to deliver results.
• The ability to create a compelling vision of the future and provide inspiration, clarity and direction. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and lead teams to drive improvement and change.
• The ability to communicate the vision, plan and benefits to the business.
• Cultural adaptability and change orientation

Successful applicants will be required to complete Black Belt training at a recognized business school in the US. The training consists of 25 days of classroom based teaching, 100 hours online learning and a DMAIC project.
