GRANTS MANAGER - ACCOUNTABILITY IN TANZANIA PROGRAMME

AcT is now seeking to recruit a Grants Manager who will be responsible for managing fiduciary risk in relation to accepting grantees and ongoing grant payments. The position will be for a period of two years and will be based in Dar es Salaam.

Selection Criteria

Skills and Experience:

 Strong understanding of and strong track record in programme financial management

(CPA or equivalent would be an advantage)

 Experience of working with civil society organisation and management donors funded

programmes

 Fluency in written and spoken English (KiSwahili is not essential but would be an

advantage)

Person Specification

 High performing team player, able to contribute to the effectiveness of AcT’s programme

management and an effective manager of people

 Adaptability and flexibility in taking on, and contributing to, new approaches

 Commitment to strengthening accountability and governance in Tanzania

 Result oriented with high standards and attention to detail

 Ability to judge and respond to risks to ensure that they are managed in a pragmatic but

robust fashion
