Chemonics seeks a local, long-term deputy chief of party for the Integrity Investments Initiative, an anticipated four-year, USAID-funded anticorruption project in the Philippines. This project is designed to generate economic growth by promoting open and fair competition and reducing the costs of corruption to investment and trade. Specifically, the project aims to improve the Philippine legal structure for detecting corruption, build the government's capacity to effectively investigate and prosecute corruption cases, reduce opportunities for corruption in the public sector, and improve corporate governance in private businesses and government corporations. We are looking for individuals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
- Plan and develop program activities
- Provide overall contextual knowledge of the Philippine anticorruption environment and leverage networks to achieve project's objectives, goals, and tasks
- Supervise staff, short-term specialists, and coordinators to ensure efficient and effective activity implementations
- Manage program's monitoring and evaluation activities
- Market program activities
- Oversee the development and distribution of program information, including reporting, success stories, and other high-visibility communications material
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in management, law, international development, monitoring and evaluation, public administration, business management, accounting, financial management, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in preventing corruption, including public-sector corruption; improving anticorruption enforcement; improving corporate governance; or similar areas
- Five to 10 years of experience managing similar projects
- Superb managerial skills and ability to ensure financial and administrative efficiency
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and private-sector companies
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
