Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The section of Histopathology, Department of Pathology & Microbiology is a major referral centre for Pakistan and receives a wide variety of biopsy & cytology specimens. It is equipped with a comprehensive immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry service. The section offers a structured residency programme with 14 residents currently on board. Faculty is encouraged to develop sub-specialty interest and is also engaged in significant teaching assignments (undergraduate and post graduate), as well as service activities. Additionally, ample opportunities are available for basic and clinical research.

Requirements |
Candidates must have completed their postgraduate training from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, MRCPath, American Board or equivalent, with at least 3 years' experience at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Instructor or possess minimum 1 year's experience as a Fellow/equivalent in a reputable institution, and have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to education. |
