We are looking for applicants at the senior level, with corresponding qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be a productive project manager, creative and effective contributor to the policy dialogue and capable of facilitating Frankfurt School’s applied research.
Prerequisite for the position is proven academic qualification in business administration, science or a related field (Ph.D. or equivalent). We explicitly welcome international applications.
We additionally request:
- A minimum 10 years relevant professional experience (energy, environment and/or development), also in an international context
- Sound knowledge of (financing) renewable energies and energy efficiency
- Strong understanding of climate and development policy, the UN climate process, as well as development finance cooperation
- Outstanding communication and networking skills with the ability to motivate and engage international project teams
The Frankfurt School - UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance is a strategic cooperation between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. The Centre is committed to facilitating structural change of energy supply and use around the globe by helping to catalyse private sector capital flow towards investments in sustainable energy and climate change mitigation and adaptation. The Centre has a target budget of €5 million and, today, 12 professional and academic staff.
