Africa Regional Development Centre supports organisations in Africa by sharing information that empowers older people, providing advice on ageing issues, and supporting programmes implemented by our affiliates and partners.
This is an exciting opportunity to guide and support international offices to achieve their objectives within HelpAge International organisational priorities and policies by guiding, advising and monitoring compliance. The Programme Officer will represent the work of international offices internally and externally by developing knowledge and understanding of the programmes.
You will have significant development project management experience in Africa as well as experience in funding proposals and reports, budgeting and financial monitoring. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people to bring them together to achieve a common goal is key to the success in this role. Excellent IT skills and command of written and spoken English are essential for this role. Experience of working/living in a developing country and knowledge of French or of another relevant international language is also highly desirable.
