The National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) was established through an Act of Parliament (2001) of which three organs, the Secretariat, the Board and Farmers Forum were established.
In order to ensure policy implementation and operationalisation of the strategic plans of the organisation, meet the national strategic objectives embedded in the National Development Plan (NDP) in the context of the Agricultural Sector Development Strategy and Investment Plan (DSIP), and achieve Prosperity For All (PFA), the National Agricultural Advisory Services Board now invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant positions at the NAADS Secretariat.
9. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (1 POST)
Reports to: - Manager-Finance &
Administration Purpose:
To ensure proper administration and use of organization resources, assets and utilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
(i) Ensure efficient courage of organizational and National Farmers' Forum events,
(ii) Taking minutes of the staff meetings and ensuring distribution.
(iii) Organising departmental and organizational functions,
(iv) Drafting budget estimates for the department,
(v) Assist in drafting answers to audit and Parliamentary queries,
(vi) Ensuring availability and efficient the use, maintenance and repairs of secretariat assets, equipment, office space and other utilities in accordance with laid down procedures,
(vii) Ensure and initiate payments of associated assets maintenance / service bills,
(viii) Ensure efficient scheduling of motor vehicle movements for routine and field travels,
(ix) Ensure accurate maintenance by drivers of vehicle log books and other relevant records including periodic monitoring and reporting to management of the efficient of vehicles in use.
(x) Advise management on and initiating the boarding off of assets,
(xi) Compile and follow up on presidential pledges,
(xii) Any other business as may be assigned

Person Specifications: Qualifications:
• B/ HRM.SWASA, BBA,
• Masters in relevant field
• Post graduate diploma in Public Administration
• Administrative Officers Law Course
Experience
At least 5 years relevant experience at officer level with increasing responsibility demonstrated in the management and administration in the public and or private sector.
