SHARIA COMPLIANCE MANAGER JOB AT KCB BANK TANZANIA

Job Purpose:

To ensure that compliance risks within the department are minimized and systems are in place to monitor. And eliminate risks across all areas of business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage & coordinate all Islamic banking training across the entire network.
• Manage & coordinate Islamic banking product development process and roll out end to end.
• Responsible for coordinating all issues related to SAB. (Quarterly meeting arrangement, minutes taking, product certification, compliance certificate, sitting allowance etc.)
• Responsible for routine Shari’s audit for all account opened across our branch network and submitting report to Head of Islamic banking.
• Monitoring and guiding all post sanctioned murabaha facilities & ensuring all purchase are in line with Murabaha buying process.
• Responsible for preparation, and administration of Murabaha agreement for all sanctioned facilities.
• Responsible for customer response in all issues related to sharia matters
• Disseminate written policy and procedures related to compliance activities.
• Manage calculation and payment of annual Zakat fund from our yield.
• Consistently verify that software technology is in place to adequately provide oversight and monitoring in all required Islamic banking areas.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

The position requires the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum University Degree in Business Administration
• Knowledge in Islamic compliance is mandatory
• 3-5years’ experience in Islamic Banking compliance Operations
