The Law School of Tanzania (LST) was established by the Act of Parliament No. 50f 2007 (now Cap. 425) for providing practical legal training for law graduates aspiring to become legal practitioners in the country. The School new invites qualified Tanzanians to fill in the following vacant posts;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
a. To teach NTA level to 8 for Master Degree holders and up to NTA level 9 for PhD holders;
b. To guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects;
c. To prepare learning resources and design' training exercises for students;
d. To conduct consultancy and community services;
e. To develop and review existing curriculum;
f. To undertake individual research and participates in scientific/academic congregations;
g. To prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training;
h. To coach junior teaching staff; and
i. To perform any duties as assigned by Head Practical Legal Training.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
a. By recruitment of holders Doctorate (PhD) Degree in relevant field who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher.
Or
a. By recruitment of holders Doctorate (PhD) Degree in relevant field who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher.
Or
b. Registered technical teacher, hold of Masters Degree/PhD in relevant field who is working in similar position in related or allied institution.
Or
c. Holder of Master Degree in relevant field, who has a proven applicable working experience preferably in research/consultancy of at least ten years in the industry and have published at least five consultancy/research reports of the academic and professional appreciable depth in the relevant field.
d. Should be registered as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania;
e. Experience in providing instructions in academic and professional program
f. Ability to relate to students and other members of staff including problem management skills;
and
g. Proven ability to implement practical training programs.
8. REMUNERATION
According to the Harmonized Scheme of service for Technical Teachers (NACTE) and the Law
School Schemes of Service Salary Scale PHTS 3.1
