Applications are invited from suitably qualified Tanzanias to fill the fallowing vacant position at   Dar es salaam college of the university college of education ( DUCE) situated at Chang’ombe, Temeke district in Dar es salaam.

1. TITTLE: INSPECTOR OF WORKS II (1POST)
a)    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in civil engineering or architecture or equivalent.
b)     DUTIES ABND RESPONSIBILITY:
i.    Undertakes various types of civil engineering / building works under close supervision and direction of senior staff.
ii.    Assist in the  implementation of maintenance polices pertaining to buildings.
iii.    Performs any other duties assigned by one reporting officer
(c) Salary scale: PGSS 11.

2. TITTLE: SENIOR EDUCATION OFFICER II (1 POST)
Areas of specializations 
-French and Kiswahili 
a) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must  be holder of BA/ BSC degree in education or in any other content  Ares with relevant working experience of at least 5 years.
b)    DUTIES ABND RESPONSIBILITY: 
i.     To give instruction in ones specialized content subject.
ii.    To prepare  plan work , course preparation ,teaching aids, pupil exercise, test and  examination.
iii.     To provide guidance and counseling.
iv.     To coordinate practical work within and outside the school.
v.     To care the student  welfare and outside the classroom
vi.    Preforms any other duties as may be assigned by one reporting officer.
(c)Salary scale: PTSS 15-16.

3.  JOB TITTLE: ASSISTANT EDUCATION OFFICER I (1 POST)
 ARES OF SPECIALIZATION
-    PHYSICS AND  MATHEMATICS
a) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Application must be a holder of form VI plus diploma in  education with relevant  working experience of at least 5 years.
(i)     Carry out lectures conducting tutorials, undergraduate programmes under close supervision;
(ii)     Prepare material for practical and tutorial exercise.
(iii)    Conduct research and close supervision.
(iv)     Publish article & research findings.
(v)     Write teaching manuals and compendia.
(vi)    Attend workshops, conference and symposia  and
(vii)    Preform any other duties that may be  assigned by relevant authorities.              
Salary  scale: PTSS10-11.

8. JOB TITTLE: TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (1 POSTS)
Areas of specialization
 (a) Qualifications and experience:
Applicant must be a holder of a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 3.8 or higher with a minimum score of B+ in the relevant subject.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Understudy senior members including attending lectures and seminars, tutorials and practical;
(ii) Assist in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision;
(iii) Prepare materials for practical and tutorial exercises;
(iv) Conduct research under close supervision
(v) Assist in carrying out consultancy in community services under
close supervision and
(vi) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant
Authorities.
(c) Salary Scale: PUTS 1-2
