2.5.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Teaches up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree).

·         Conducts research, seminars and case studies.

·         Carries out consultancy and community services under supervision.

2.6         ASSISTANT LECTURER (INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY)

– 7 POSTS

2.6.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Teaches up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree).

·         Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises.

·         Conducts research, seminars and case studies.

·         Carries out consultancy and community services under supervision.

·         Prepares teaching manual.

·         Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.

2.6.2  QUALIFICATION

· Master’s Degree in ICT with a GPA of 3.8 and above at undergraduate level specializing in relevant fields.

2.6.3  REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PHTS 2

2.7          ASSISTANT LECTURER (HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT) – 1 POST – (RE-ADVERTISED)

2.7.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

·         Teach up to NTA level 8 for Master’s Degree holders

·         Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects.

·         Prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students.

·         Conduct consultancy and community services

·         Develop and review existing curriculum.

·         Undertake individual research and participates in scientific/academic congregations.

·         Prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training.


·         Coach junior teaching staff.

·         Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

2.7.2
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
·
Master’s  degree  either  in  Political  science  and  public  administration,  public

administration or Human resource management with minimum GPA of 3.8 in the

Bachelor’s degree.

2.8          ASSISTANT LECTURER MARKETING – 1 POST.

2.8.1     WORK STATION: MWANZA CAMPUS.

2.8.2     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

·         Teach up to NTA level 8 for Master’s Degree holders.

2.10      TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES MANAGEMENT) -

3 POSTS

·         Teaching up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma).

·         Assists in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students under close supervision.

·         Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises.

·         Assists in conducting research under close supervision.

·         Carriers out consultancy and community services under close supervision.

·         Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

2.10.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management with a GPA of 3.8 and above.

2.12    ESTATE OFFICER II – 3 POSTS

2.12.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·    Deals with conditioning, maintaining and upgrading of the surroundings of College buildings.

·  Assists in the planning of Estate activities and services

·  Performs any other relevant duties that may be assigned by Supervisor.

2.12.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Architecture, Building Economics, Land Management and Valuation from a recognized Institutions.

2.12.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 10-11

2.13    WARDEN II – 2 POSTS

2.13.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Overall in-charge of cleanliness of the College Hostels classrooms and compounds.

·  Coordinates students cultural, recreational and sports activities.

·  Takes care of students’ welfare.

·  Performs any other relevant duties which may be assigned by Supervisor.

2.13.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Education Psychology or Social Welfare, or Advanced Diploma in Community Development from a recognized institutions.

2.13.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 10-11


2.14 HEALTH LAB TECHNOLOGY II – 1 POST 2.14.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Prepares re-agents for routine examination of patients

·         Carry out diagnostic procedures.

·         Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

2.14.2 QUALIFICATION

·         Diploma in Health Laboratory Sciences from a recognized Institutions.

2.14.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PMGSS 4



2.15 ACADEMIC OFFICER II – 4 POSTS 2.15.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Ensures availability of examination stationery.

·         Processes applications for admission.

·         Prepares examination time table and allocation of rooms.

·         Arranges examination invigilation.

·         Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

2.15.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Bachelor Degree in Education, Management or Administration from a recognized Institutions.

2.15.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 10-11

2.16    LIBRARIAN II – 4 POSTS

2.16.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Researches on information needs of users.

·         Participates in developing library systems and procedures.

·         Identifies of library materials to be ordered.

·         Performs any other relevant duties assigned by Supervisor.

2.16.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Library Studies from a recognized Institutions.

2.16.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 10-11


2.17 PERSONAL SECRETARY II – 9 POSTS 2.17.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Receives and attends visitors.

·         Types both open and confidential documents and takes minutes.

·         Takes shorthand.

·         Attends telephone calls and takes messages.

·         Ensures availability of all necessary working facilities for proper job performance.

·         Takes proper care of all machines under his/her charge and ensures that they are used for official work.

·         Types Circulars, Certificates, Transcripts and Statements of Results.


·  Prints reports, letters etc.

·  Performs any other relevant duties assigned by supervisor.


2.17.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Secondary School Certificate with a Secretarial Certificate from a recognized Secretarial College plus 100/120 w.p.m. Shorthand in English or Kiswahili and 50 w.p.m. typing, tabulation and Manuscript Stage III, Secretarial duties and Office Procedure Stage II.

2.17.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 8/9


2.18 ARTISAN II (PLUMBER) – 3 POSTS 2.18.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Performs more challenging craft jobs under close supervision.

·         Performs routine technical jobs.

·         Collects and takes care of tools and equipment.

·         Carries-out minor repairs and maintenance and reports all other

·         problems to superiors.

·         Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by Supervisor.

2.18.2 QUALIFICATION

·    Secondary School Certificate with a Trade Test Grade I Certificate with a relevant working experience of at least four years specializing in relevant field.


2.18.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: PGSS 6-7


2.19 ARTISAN II (CARPENTRY) – 1 POST 2.19.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Performs more challenging craft jobs under close supervision.

·           Performs routine technical jobs.

·         Collects and takes care of tools and equipment.

·         Carries-out minor repairs and maintenance and reports all other problems to superiors.

·         Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by Supervisor.

2.19.2 QUALIFICATION

2.21 SECURITY GUARD II - 1 POST 2.21.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Maintains peace and order.

·  Ensures College properties are in safe custody.

·    Checks incoming and outgoing vehicles as well as outgoing materials and equipment.

·  Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by Supervisor.

2.21.2 QUALIFICATION

·  Secondary School Certificate and who has attended Military Course.

2.21.3 REMUNERATION

Salary Scale: POSS 4
