Fleet Officer ( GPS Tracking & HSE Compliance)

Our client is urgently seeking to fill the above position.

Successful candidates must have advanced experience with a clearly demonstrated track record and ready to relocate to Tanzania

Duties and responsibilities.

• Pro-actively advice, prepare, promote and ensure compliance of the company HES Management System & vehicle tracking, Procedures and Standards consistent with best practice
• Understand and support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of activities
• In liaison with the HSE Manager, develop and manage Company HSE standards, programs and goals.
• Train and mentor and periodically evaluate the Logistics, HSE
• personnel and drivers on HSE standards, programs and goals.
• Ensure the fleet and company facility complies with current Company and statutory Industry HSE standards and guidelines and advise on future requirements ensuring proactive planning.
• Proactively Identify, investigate, and analyze HSE operational improvement and as appropriate, based on findings make proposal for
• HSE operational changes (policies, procedures, processes).
• Supervises monitor and report on key HSE metrics.
• Developing strategies for enhancing and strengthening the Driver training centre.
• Ensure the workplace / company vehicles and assigned staff comply with health and safety regulations and prepare any special reports as required.
• Keep upto date on applicable statutory requirements, advise and ensure company compliance.
• Participated fully in periodic scheduled / unscheduled audits and perform periodic inventory checks as required and report and ensure corrective action on any anomalies.
• Vehicle tracking Platform
• Ensuring accurate monitoring of company vehicles at all times on the company tracking platform
• Keep up to date on applicable tracking systems technology and advicethe company accordingly and ensure compliance.
• Prepare various tracking reports on the tracking platform to assessperformance of the fleet / drivers and recommending appropriate sustainable interventions.
• Engage in journey management and planning in liaison with the logisticsdepartment
• Keep upto date on applicable statutory requirements, advise andensure company compliance.
• Champion the drivers league and motivation program
