The
Controller and Auditor General of Tanzania has been given the legal mandate to carry
out performance audit by virtue of Section 28 of the Public Audit Act No.11 of
2008.
Performance Auditing is an
audit of the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which the audited
entity uses its resources in carrying out is responsibilities. Goals for
performance auditing include improvement of programmes and operations, saving
tax payers money, providing better services to the public and obtaining best
value for money.
6.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifying
audit problems and designing audits.
·
Collecting and analyzing data obtained
through reading, interviews surveys data bases.
·
Documenting
collected data.
·
Writing
and presenting reports.
·
Performing
any other related duties that may be assigned by Superior.
6.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
·
Bachelor
Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution.
·
Must be registered as a Graduate Engineer by
the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). Possession of Post Graduate
Degree/Diploma in related field will be an added advantage.
·
Must be computer literate and capable of
applying various software such as Word, Excel and Power point.
6.1.3 REMUNERATION
Salary Scale: TGS E
6.2
ECONOMIST II - 1 POST
6.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Identifying
audit problems and designing audits.
·
Collecting and analyzing data obtained
through reading, interviews surveys data bases.
·
Documenting
collected data.
·
Writing
and presenting reports.
·
Performing
any other related duties that may be assigned by Superior.
6.2.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
·
Bachelor Degree in Economics or its
equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution.
·
Possession of Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in
related field will be an added advantage.
·
Must be computer literate and capable of
applying various software such as Word, Excel and Power point.
·
Experience
in Monitoring and Evaluation and Statistical packages will be an added
advantage.
6.2.3 REMUNERATION
Salary Scale: TGS D
6.3
LEGAL OFFICER II - 2 POSTS
6.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Identifying
audit problems and designing audits.
·
Collecting and analyzing data obtained
through reading, interviews surveys data bases.
·
Documenting
collected data.
·
Writing
and presenting reports.
·
Performing
any other related duties that may be assigned by Superior.
6.3.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
·
Bachelor
Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Institution.
·
Completed Law School and possess a Post
Graduate Diploma in Legal Practices. Possession of Post Graduate Degree in
related field will be an added advantage.

Must be computer literate and capable of
applying various software such as Word, Excel and Power point.
6.3.3 REMUNERATION
Salary
Scale: TGS E
6.4
HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER II - 1 POST
6.4.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Identifying
audit problems and designing audits.
·
Collecting and analyzing data obtained
through reading, interviews surveys data bases.
·
Documenting collected data.
·
Writing
and presenting reports.
·
Performing
any other related duties that may be assigned by Superior.

Bachelor
Degree in sociology from a recognized Institution.
·
Possession of Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in
related field will be an added advantage.

applying various software such as Word, Excel and Power point.
