Pursuant to Executive Agency Act No. 30 of 1997, Taasisi ya Sanaa na Utamaduni Bagamoyo (TaSUBa) under the Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports of Tanzania is determined to meet its mission and objectives by continuing to offer and deliver high quality education in Arts and culture by recruiting competent and well motivated staff both

‘Academic’ and ‘Non-Academic’ who will facilitate effective transformation of students opting for a career in arts and culture.

3.1         ASSISTANT TUTOR / INSTRUCTOR II (MUSIC) - 2 POST

3.1.1         DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·               Teaches up to NTA level 4 and many assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·               Prepares learning resources for practical exercise.

·               Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

·               Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

·               Assists in conducting practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision up to level 5.

·               Prepares material for practical exercises.

·               Carries consultancy and service job assignments under close supervision.

·               Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

3.1.2     QUALIFICATION

·               Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6 or equivalent) in Music from a recognized Institutions.

3.2         ASSISTANT TUTOR /INSTRUCTOR II (DANCE ) - 3 POSTS

3.2.1         DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·               Teaches up to NTA level 4 and many assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·               Prepares learning resources for practical exercise.

·               Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

·               Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

·               Assists in conducting practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision up to level 5.

·               Prepares material for practical exercises.

·               Carries consultancy and service job assignments under close supervision.

·               Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

3.2.2     QUALIFICATION

·               Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6 or equivalent) in Dance field from a recognized Institutions.

3.3             ASSISTANT TUTOR /INSTRUCTOR II (MEDIA DESIGN) - 2 POSTS

3.3.1         DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·               Teaches up to NTA level 4 and many assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·               Prepares learning resources for practical exercise.

·               Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

·               Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

·               Assists in conducting practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision up to level 5.

3.4            ASSISTANT TUTOR / INSTRUCTOR II (DRAMA) - 1 POST

3.4.1         DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teaches up to NTA level 4 and many assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Prepares learning resources for practical exercise.

·                     Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

3.5         ASSISTANT TUTOR / INSTRUCTOR II (MUSIC DESIGN ) – 1 POST

·                     Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

·                     Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

·                     Assists in conducting practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision up to level 5.

·                     Prepares material for practical exercises.

3.6.2     QUALIFICATION

·                     Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6 or equivalent) in Fine Arts.

3.7         ASSISTANT TUTOR / INSTRUCTOR II (ACROBATICS) – 1 POST

3.7.1     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teaches up to NTA level 4 and many assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Prepares learning resources for practical exercise.

·                     Assists in carrying our consultancy and community services.

·                     Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

·                     Assists in conducting practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision up to level 5.

·                     Prepares material for practical exercises.

·                     Carries consultancy and service job assignments under close supervision.

·                     Performs any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.

3.7.2     QUALIFICATION

·                     Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6 or equivalent) in Acrobatics.

3.8         TUTOR I/INSTRUCTOR I ( FINE ARTS ) – 1 POST

3.8.1     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                       Teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Conduct examinations up to NTA level 7.

·                       Prepare learning resources.

·                       Assume leadership roles.

·                       Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

3.8.2     QUALIFICATION

·                     Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts, registered as technical teacher, who has a working experience in teaching, research and consultancy of at least three years in similar field.

·                     Person who had specialised in radio production and journalism will have an added advantage.

3.9         TUTOR I/INSTRUCTOR I (MUSIC) – 2 POSTS

3.9.1     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3.10      TUTOR I/INSTRUCTOR I (DRAMA) – 1 POST

3.10.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Conduct examinations up to NTA level 7.

·                     Prepare learning resources.

·                     Assume leadership roles.

·                     Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

3.10.2  QUALIFICATION

·                     Bachelor Degree in Drama, registered as technical teacher, who has a working experience in teaching, research and consultancy of at least three years in similar field.

3.11      TUTOR I/INSTRUCTOR I (MEDIA DESIGN) – 2 POSTS

3.13      INSTRUCTOR I – 2 POSTS

3.13.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teach up to NTA lever 5 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Administer practical and practical examinations for up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma) students.

·                     Participate in research/fabricates Prepares teaching aids.

·                       Perform any other duty as assigned by the Head of Department or senior staff.

·                     Assist in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students in the department under close supervision.

·                     Prepare material for practical exercises.

·                     Carry our consultancy and service job assignments under close supervision.

·                     Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

3.13.2  QUALIFICATION

·                     Higher Diploma (NTA level 7 or equivalent) in stage technology and textile field with teachers training certificate from a recognized Institutions.

3.14      SENIOR TUTOR (DRAMA) – 2 POSTS

3.14.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Administer examinations up to NTA level 8.

·                     Supervise and assist students in building up their research/projects.

·                     Develop and review curricula.

·                     Conduct research, consultancy and community services.

·                     Assume leadership roles.

·                     Instruct students in the department.

·                     Supervise and assists junior teaching staff.

·                     Assist students in building up their practical projects.

·                     Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

3.14.2  QUALIFICATION

·                     Master’s Degree in Drama who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher.

·                     Holder of theatre arts in drama and film production will have an added advantage.

3.15      SENIOR TUTOR (FINE ARTS) – 1 POSTS

3.15.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels.

·                     Administer examinations up to NTA level 8.

·                     Supervise and assist students in building up their research/projects.

·                     Develop and review curricula.

·                     Conduct research, consultancy and community services.

·                     Assume leadership roles.

·                     Instruct students in the department.

·                     Supervise and assists junior teaching staff.

·                     Assist students in building up their practical projects.

·                     Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

3.15.2  QUALIFICATION

·                     Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, who is eligible for registration as a technical teacher.

·                     Holder of theatre arts in drama and film production will have an added advantage.

3.16    ACCOUNTANT I  - 1 POST

3.16.1  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Supervise accounting tasks including receiving and paying out cash and cheques.

·                     Maintain full and accurate accounts records i.e. General ledger, subsidiary ledgers, journals, etc.

·                       prepare trial balances.

·                     Check the correctness of claims and retirements, and ensuring that they are supported by appropriate authority/evidences.

·                     Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, statement and making follow up reconciliation items.

·                     Supervise and controls of vote books.

·                     Supervise daily bank balance position report.

·                     Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.

3.16.2  QUALIFICATION

·                     Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy e.g. B.Com (Accountancy), BBA (Accountancy), BA (Accountancy) or professional Module E with working experience of at least three years in a similar field.

·                     Must be computer literate.

3.17      CIVIL TECHNICIAN I - 1 POST

3.17.1     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·                     Conducting daily inspection of all institute facilities and utilities to ensure proper serviceability

·                     Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs as required.

·                     Supervising artisans  in their related field

·                     Report maintenance problems occurring at the institute and negotiate changes to resolve its

·                     Keeping maintenance records

·                     Performing any other duties related to the field as may be assigned by superior

3.17.2       QUALIFICATION

·                     Full technician certificate (FTC) or Diploma in Civil Technician from a recognised institution.

·                     At least two years experience in related field

·                     Must be computer literate.
