Role and Objective
To ensure that there is constant superior service delivery to customers and maximum returns on delivery channels investment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Assist the Director of Banking Operations in day to day activities in the Directorate,
• Design and Implement business delivery channels strategy,
• Keep pace with the market by identifying innovation and re-engineering requirements in delivery channels,
• Manage projects and activities relating to various delivery channel aimed at maximizing returns on investment,
• Monitor performance and relationship with contracted external parties in serving customers through alternative channels
• Manage staff on the job training, performance and discipline
• Manage employee relations in the Department.

Qualifications, Work experience and Competences.

ICT specialization, certification and experience in this field are a preference. Masters degree will be an added advantage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Perform the day-to-day “Corporate Actions” related tasks in respect to:
i) Process mandatory, voluntary “Corporate Actions” events and Proxy Voting including the timely dissemination of information to clients and disbursement of income proceeds,

• Review accuracy of assets valuation and valuation reporting on daily basis

• Undertake daily reconciliation of client’s records in the Azania Bank Ltd Custody IT System and records in the Stock Exchange Central Depository Accounts.
• Update market Statistics in the Custody System for continuous and regular valuation and correct information delivery to clients
• Carry out Settlements and General Banking activities in line with laid down procedures and all regulatory requirements and Fund Manager Directives.
• Achieve established targeted standards of productivity and client services in Settlement area of:
i) Processing of equity settlement and ensuring there is sufficient funds and shares,
ii) Reviewing potential failed/failed trade until resolutions
• Receive client instructions (fax, swift and normal mail) and carry out call back and distribute the same to the respective team members.
• Calculate billing as at end of every month.
• Pass all accounting entries for all fees received.
• Ensure compliance at all times to the provision of Trust Deed
• Maintain good relationship with customers, regulators and other stake holders.
• Carry out period vault reconciliations with Local reconciliation team
• Review Nostro & receivables account for outstanding fees,
• Carry out settlement of offshore investments, receive contract notes and send/receive funds to/from Agents for settlement and capture transactions in the system.

Qualification, Work experience and Competences
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from a recognized University; Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA , CFA or MBA/Finance will be an added advantage to the applicant; Must have work experience of a minimum of 2 years in a commercial bank, with at least one year in Custodial operation; work experience in Share Registration and other assignments related to DSE shares issuance, registration, dividend payments, CDS transactions; deep knowledge of custodial operations both front and back office.

3. TREASURY OFFICER ( DEALER) – 1 POSITION (HEAD OFFICE) DAR ES SALAAM
Tasks and Responsibilities.
• Gather information and prepare multi currency market report and propose an appropriate currency and interest rates for the Bank
• Determine and advise management on the Bank’s daily cash and liquidity position
• Provide input into the monthly, quarterly and annual Treasury business plan
• Deal in interbank foreign exchange market, money markets and investment in Government securities as per internal guidelines
• Process and release all deal tickets relating to FX and MM transactions to the Back office

• To ensure cash and investments are well done in order to maximize income and minimize costs in line with Bank’s ALM policy

• Design daily, weekly and monthly cash flow projection of the Bank
• Analyze the currency and interest rate risks of the Bank
• Structure derivative products for risk management
• Currency exposure management - proactively maintain FX positions through daily monitoring of the Bank’s FX exposures to minimize the impact on the trading result and balance sheet of the bank from currency rate fluctuations
• Execute swap transactions to hedge Azania Bank Ltd currency and interest exposure
• Hedge the risks arising from foreign currency flows and transactions
• Maintain and ensure proper utilization of all Nostro accounts and explore prudent avenues of investing the idle cash.
• Follow up the Forex Open Position to be in the required regulatory levels and advise Management on active resolution of exceptional items.
• Cultivate and maintain working relationships with banks and counterparties to ensure proactive and comprehensive coverage across various markets and products;
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management reports on liquidity and rate outlook
• Inform and provide recommendations to the Treasury Manager of significant developments, emerging opportunities and challenges in areas of responsibility; and
• Identify Treasury business opportunities and recommend actions to be taken.
Qualification, Work experience and Competences

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit appropriate insurance reports and insurance premium amounts collected for the month to the insurer at the end of every month.
• Reconcile the issued insurance cover notes from the insurer with the insurance premium payments submitted by the Bank.
• File the insurance cover notes from the insurer and perform custodianship duties
• Prepare and submit appropriate annual reports and annual premiums for the outstanding loan amounts annually at the beginning of the calendar year.
• Maintain files for reference in respect of all reports, submissions and correspondences between the insurer and the bank.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Management for control and monitoring giving details of payment of insurance submitted to the insurer for the month, cover notes collected from the insurer, amount outstanding in the insurance payable account, total amount of cash cover held for insurance in customers’ accounts, amount collected as bank commission account and any report on claims if any on the amount and status.
• Prepare appropriate documentation and follow up on claims from the Insurer.
• Advise the Management on matters related to insurance on credit facilities and mortgaged properties.
Qualifications, Work Experience and Competences:
• A Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Insurance with at least two years of work experience in Banking Sector in Insurance Operations. She/he also should be computer literate.

• Reconcile the issued insurance cover notes from the insurer with the insurance premium payments submitted by the Bank.
• File the insurance cover notes from the insurer and perform custodianship duties
• Prepare and submit appropriate annual reports and annual premiums for the outstanding loan amounts annually at the beginning of the calendar year.
• Maintain files for reference in respect of all reports, submissions and correspondences between the insurer and the bank.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Management for control and monitoring giving details of payment of insurance submitted to the insurer for the month, cover notes collected from the insurer, amount outstanding in the insurance payable account, total amount of cash cover held for insurance in customers’ accounts, amount collected as bank commission account and any report on claims if any on the amount and status.
• Prepare appropriate documentation and follow up on claims from the Insurer.
• Advise the Management on matters related to insurance on credit facilities and mortgaged properties.
Qualifications, Work Experience and Competences:
• A Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Insurance with at least two years of work experience in Banking Sector in Insurance Operations. She/he also should be computer literate.
• High Standard of integrity, Attentive to detail, Good communication and Interpersonal skills and Customer driven attitude
