Job Title: Head of Public Private Dialogue and Institutional Relations

Role Purpose:
The head of PPD and Institutional relations is responsible for establishing and organizing different forums with stakeholders to discuss crosscutting issues that affect business. He drafts position papers and MOUs, and ensures their implementation for the benefits of the organization and members, and serves as a focal point for partners, organizations and VIP advocacy.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Among other duties, he/she shall perform the following:
- Organise Private Sector driven fora.
- Draft and manage all legal interpretations related to business and MOUs for the organization and members.
- Initiate negotiations/Advocacy on cross cutting issues with partners and government entities.
- Ensure the establishment of institutional framework at regional and international level.
- Being the first point of contact for institutions wishing to partner and/or support PSF.
- Ensure general management of various MOUs and agreements signed between PSF and other institutions, companies or organizations.
- The Institutional Relations Manager will also identify and propose partnerships with new potential institutions.
- Follow up and implement various programs, MOUs and initiatives agreed between PSF and other institutions.
- Participate in negotiations between PSF and other parties, and prepare reports on such negotiations.
- Prepare updates and progress reports on the various partnerships by PSF.
- Organizing events hosted for other partner institutions and/or delegations.
- Organize different fora with different stakeholders, with a follow up of recommendations of such forums.
- Responsible for the advocacy of corporate members and individual issues.
- Ensure maximization of the benefits of PSF and promote the interests of PSF and any other party.
- Perform any other duty as and when instructed by the immediate supervisor.
Interested candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Business or Commercial law, Economics, Communication or Development Studies with at least 3 years experience in the related field. A master’s degree in a related discipline is an added advantage.
- Proven experience and demonstrated knowledge in regulatory issues.
- Excellent research and public-speaking skills.
- An ability to write clear and concise memos, concept notes, reports and position papers.
- Understanding of Public Private Partnership concept and practices is an advantage.
- Proven ability to produce results within tight deadlines in a very busy environment.
- Ability to work under time pressure independently with minimal supervision and self starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Clear understanding of the mission of the organization, taking initiative and consistently, working to promote achievement of its goals.
- Ability to work in team and collaborate with institutions of different nature.
