INFORMATION, COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA OFFICER
Based in Kampala, Uganda
The role
Working closely with the Oxfam international in Uganda Country director, Program Leads, you will be supporting our advocacy and communication work in Uganda, you will design and implement the communication strategy; generate and analyse information for all audiences. You will be the “to go to person” for all communication, information and media work in the country programs. In addition, you will work with the program teams to develop effective communication materials and disseminate information as will be mandated. You will act as a public spokesperson by liaising with media and other external parties and give interviews in consultation with the country director; serve as the ‘to go to person’ on all Single Management Structure (SMS) communication needs of the Oxfam team and to liaise with the relevant parts of the Oxfam confederation by preparing, updating and implementing the Oxfam SMS and other communication plans. The minimum starting salary of the role is Ugx. 3,051,581.
