Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking a results oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the following vacant position for a period of 2 years.
HEAD OF RECRUITMENT REF;SST/KE/01/HOR/2013
Reporting to the Group Chief Talent Officer, The incumbent will create an innovative talent acquisition strategy, define, develop and implement avenues that position Seven Seas Technologies as an employer of choice by utilizing its brand to full effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the Employer Branding and Positioning strategy;
- Design the selection matrix for choosing the optimum recruitment channel and recruitment source for all positions in the organization;
- Explore market best practices in the recruitment and staffing and implement appropriate best practices in the organization;
- Prepare job descriptions and personnel specifications, write job advertisements and decide how and where jobs will be advertised;
- Design application forms and prepare other recruitment material such as brochures. You will also be expected to work on more creative solutions to recruitment, especially if it is proving problematic;
- Screen application forms, shortlist applicants, devise and implement selection processes, conduct interviews, psychometric tests and personality questionnaires and various group activities;
- Train interviewees on interviewing techniques and monitor implementation of learning;
- Benchmark and manage the offer;
- Develop tool to optimize the recruitment process: maintain an active and organized data bank of applicants for various positions, produce relevant reports to enable evaluation of process and advice decision making;
- Revamp the talent website and ensure full utilization of social media recruitment and the entire social media communication of HR. Decide the targeted niches, content of the social media messages and drive social media content to position SST as an employer of choice;
- Identify, vet and onboard strategic recruitment partners and builds quality relationships with the internal customers and external recruitment agencies;
- Oversee the on boarding process for senior positions in the organization;
- Monitor and constantly reduce the costs of the recruitment process;
- Determine the interview panel composition and conduct job interviews for managerial job positions (or key jobs in the organization); and
- Monitors the labor legislation and implement required changes to keep the process compliant.
Desired Skills & Experience
Skills & Competencies
- Be a degree holder in a business related field preferably HR;
- Have a strong background in technology recruitment and a strong understanding and innovative approach to direct hire;
- Be an outstanding relationship and stakeholder manager able to influence and negotiate at the highest level. Team leadership / management experience preferred;
- Demonstrable strategic experience, creating, designing and delivering through a team;
- Experience of senior talent identification and development to aid workforce planning and succession;
- Experience in using various assessment tools;
- A good eye for skill with a strong ability to head hunt and find talented people; and
- Conversant with use of social media.
