As an International Christian Humanitarian Development organization, World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is trusted to deliver community service through its 69 Area Development programs (ADPs) located in seven regional states of the country. Currently, WVE envisions a thriving organization where our improved business processes come together to transform and model organizational leadership built on sustainable practices and is looking for a person who fulfills the following qualifications.
Major Responsibilities
• Serve as a strategic partner to all concerned by ensuring the HR Department activities support the overall Program/ operation strategy • Coordinate with departments and program Office HR Officers to assess the staff needs and initiate the recruitment process as per the WVE Policy and the labor law of the land • Networking with other NGOs / recruiting agencies / expatriates / professionals • Assist and participate in salary and benefits surveys to ensure competitive compensation and benefits plans and share lessons learned • Assist the HR Director in developing and updating HR policies and procedures. • Ensure and monitor compensation and benefit staff records e.g. medical, Annual leave, salaries, Performance evaluation etc are handled properly • Supervise and ensure that national employment contracts and staff movements are handled according to the organizational policies and procedures • Ensure that on- going update of WVEs Human Resource Management Information System. • Provide advisory role on policies to managers and staff (National and international) • Ensure child protection policy and conflict of interest policy are signed by all staff as required • Advice HR Director on improvement of national employee benefits and compensation • Engage in and ensure that performance management is practiced within the department to enhance smooth staff relations and accountabilityQualifications Required: MA/MBA in Human Resources, Public Administration, or Business Administration.
Work Experience and Skill required
• 4-7years relevant experience(3 years at managerial level) • Strong oral and written English language skills • Good interpersonal communication skillsAdditional requirements: Committed to WV’s vision, mission and core values
