Health Actions Promotion Association (HAPA) with Reg no 10892[2001], is a Tanzanian NGO committed to improving the well being of women, children and youth, through water, health and education services ,infrastructural development, awareness raising as well as lobbying and advocacy
In order to accomplish its mission HAPA seeks to recruit highly qualified, experienced and motivated individuals
Job Objectives:
To provide overall project coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH projects of the Organization. '
Reports to:
The Executive Director of the organization
Key Responsibilities:
To provide overall management and leadership in the project through coordination and supervision
Ensure that all aspects of the project management including compliance with donor requirements are met.
Provide technical leadership, supervise and guide WASH projects implementations in the field in terms of planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Mobilize resources for the WASH projects from different potential sources.
Work closely with Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in data collection, compiling, analyzing and reporting.
Support capacity building amongst the project staff in the department.
Prepare and timely submit both project narrative and financial reports.
In collaboration with other staff, he/she will participate in the overall HAPA programme management on team building.
Undertake and participate in supervision missions to the project sites.
Serve as a link between the organization and WASH development partners.
Undertake other tasks as asked by HAPA Management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate in social sciences or related technical fields; Having Degree in Civil Engineering will have added
advantage
Three years experience working in WASH related field.
Excellent project management, planning, monitoring & evaluation and Proposal writing skills
Sound experience of working with NGOs both national and international; public sector and donors
Basic capacity to manage Information Management Systems (lMS) and Information Technology (IT)
Track history and clear understanding of local government structures and NGOs management systems.
Strong team leader and player
Ability to travel up to 40% of his/her time
