The successful applicant will be offered a temporary appointment for a period of one month limited to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL). This appointment and any subsequent extension(s) are subject to terms of the Tribunal’s mandate and/or the availability of the funds. The Special Tribunal for Lebanon is an international inter-governmental organization with its own independent legal identity and not a UN organization. However, STL follows the UN common system for benefits and entitlements to its staff members. UN staff members may also serve on loan from their parent department/office, if selected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the overall supervision of the Supervisor, Recruitment Unit, the incumbent will carry out the following functions:
• Process and organize the backlog of applications in the Lotus Notes Recruitment inbox including the entry of candidates’ data in the Recruitment database;
• Assist in the management of vacancies through eRecruitment such as, but not limited to, monitoring vacancy deadlines, responding to applicants’ queries, and entering vacancy announcement data;
• Prepare applicant files and follow-up with applicants on required documentation;
• Draft routine correspondence and liaise with applicants on a variety of basic Recruitment matters;
• Provide general office support services; and,
• Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least three years of experience in human resources management, administrative services or related area.
• Language: Arabic, English and French are the official languages of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. For this post proficiency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of the other official languages is an asset.
