Reports to: Principal Qualification Officer (Occupational Standards)
Job purpose:
To participate in the review, design and development of Occupational Standards for defined Trades or Vocational/ Technical disciplines.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- An Honours degree in Engineering/Technology or any other technical /vocational field.
- Post graduate Diploma in any relevant vocational / technical discipline with a bias in vocational training pedagogy or Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) from a recognized Institution.
- 5 years work experience, 3 of which must have been at Officer / Senior Instructor level in a recognized technical / vocational education and training institution OR research or curriculum development or recognized institution involved in related work
Experience of organizing training workshops is an added advantage.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Occupational Profiling process.
- Organize the Occupational Standards facilitators’ training.
- Identify and select Occupational experts and facilitators.
- Organize validation workshops to update Occupational standards.
- Participate in the Section’s costed Work plans development.
- Prepare and Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reports.
- Supervise and appraise qualification officer.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.
