You are a talented, highly numerate economist with good interpersonal and communication skills. You have a Master’s degree in economics with a strong quantitative element and five to ten years of work experience, of which at least a part in a research environment or international organization. Your presentation skills are excellent. You have a good feel for political decision making processes on fiscal and economic matters. You are fluent in English and in at least one other language. You enjoy working in a small team effectively and efficiently to meet short deadlines.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Fiscal Affairs and International Trade group of Philip Morris International Management SA in Lausanne, you will:
- Monitor fiscal and economic trends that drive tobacco tax policy and analyze their business impact;
- Review economic analysis and argumentation related to the tobacco sector and develop appropriate responses;
- Provide advice on economic and fiscal issues to regional and market management;
- Engage with stakeholders in academic circles and economic institutions and help provide our views to inform the public policy debate on tobacco taxation.
