The National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) was established through an Act of Parliament (2001) of which three organs, the Secretariat, the Board and Farmers Forum were established.
In order to ensure policy implementation and operationalisation of the strategic plans of the organisation, meet the national strategic objectives embedded in the National Development Plan (NDP) in the context of the Agricultural Sector Development Strategy and Investment Plan (DSIP), and achieve Prosperity For All (PFA), the National Agricultural Advisory Services Board now invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant positions at the NAADS Secretariat.
5 SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1 POST)
Reports to: Technical Services Manager, a. Job purpose:
Support and enhance, Advisory Services and Farmer Institutional Development.
b. Key Functions
i. Build capacity of Farmer Institutional Development (FID) promoters;
ii. Establish Framer Group curriculum development;
iii. Coordinate Farmer institutional Development (FID) activities;
iv. Develop coordination framework for FID;
v. Coordinate, planning, enterprise selection activities between the district and NAADS Secretariat; and
vi. Disseminate Advisory services and FID information from the headquarters to the district, vii. Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
