Two year assignment
Nairobi, Kenya
Closing date Friday, 23 September
You can make a real and practical difference to Kenyans by making the most of your substantial experience on e-banking and formulating, co-ordinating and managing large ICT training programmes.
There is now an opportunity with the Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS), the public institution owned by the Central Bank of Kenya and the Ministry of Finance, to design and implement a training programme on e-banking, which has been identified as a strategy to enhance banking services for poor communities.
Also, you will create and support links between KSMS and private financial institutions and other schools around the Commonwealth offering e-banking programmes, as well as provide guidance and transfer your expertise on strategic and key issues concerning wider e-banking policies and practices.
With a degree in social sciences or equivalent, and a post-graduate qualification in a relevant computer, business, banking, telecoms or business field, you must have substantial banking experience directly related to private and public sectors. Strong inter-personal, organisational planning and development skills will be supported by a background in providing strategic guidance and counsel to decision-makers in ICT, particularly e-banking, and extensive knowledge of current trends and developments in banking MIS.
We promote democracy, advance development and celebrate diversity. We are the Commonwealth – an association of 54 member countries who share the common values of peace, security and sustainable development.
You must be able to operate effectively in our multi-cultural setting and be a national of a Commonwealth country.
