Agricultural Economist/Agricultural Value Chains & Trade Specialist

ME&A is recruiting an African professional for the position of Agricultural Economist/Agricultural Value Chains & Trade Specialist, to work in the evaluation of a trade, economic growth and food security project in East Africa. The candidate must possess familiarity with agriculture and value chain issues in the East and South African region. Other qualifications include: 

• A Minimum of a Master’s Degree in agricultural economics or in a related field;
• At least eight years of experience working with value chain and agribusiness programs in the East African region;
• Familiarity with CAADP and USAID’s Feed the Future programs;
• Experience evaluating projects;
• Proficiency in English.

The evaluation has an estimated overall timeframe of 8 weeks.
