VIDEO PRODUCTION OFFICER (P-3)
IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND
The UNHCR Video Unit is in charge of shooting/editing/distribution of video products documenting the plight of refugees and UNHCR’s work. The incumbent will:
- shoot professional video with various cameras in the studio and in the field;
- perform video editing (including post-production) for various platforms;
- upload UNHCR stories to the ftp site, website and other platforms and have proven ability with video transmission technology Bgan, Skype, webcasting and live streaming;
- upgrade and maintain the Unit’s video and computer equipment (Blackmagic/Sony).
Education: University degree or equivalent technical college certificate.
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of previous job experience in video production for multi-media platforms, including at least one acknowledged media-news organization. Experience in running a modern studio environment, including for live broadcasting – radio and television. Extensive knowledge of the latest generation of digital video cameras. Excellent knowledge of English. Working knowledge of a second UN language, preferably French, is desirable.
