As a consultant, you will be a valuable resource in our Consulting Department in Kenya, where your main responsibility will be to:
- Plan engagements and design appropriate tests including desinging and implementing tailor-made work programmes for specialised clients and for areas not covered under the firm's standard model programmes.
- Carry out all assignments in accordance with the Firm's standards, procedures and methodologies, while conforming to agree time and money budgets.
- Ensure that all assignments are well planned and draft client reports for the engagement manager.
- Maintain good client relationships by ensuring that the client expectations are met expeditiously, queries are responded to and delivering value added service.
- Continously seek ways to develope innovative practical solutionsto clients' issues/concerns and also provide best practices.
- Promote practice economics by ensuring billing and collections are done expeditiously.
- Perfom administrative tasks within the department such as assisting with recruitment, updating client databases and departmental profile and experience.
- Develope and manage sound business relationships, and market the Firm with the aim of maintaining and winning new business.
- Identify and follow-up cross selling opportunities and act as a link between the firm and clients.
- Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, in order to anticipate clients needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions.
- Leverage knowledge and contribute to proper knowledge management within the department.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or suitable equivalent (minimum upper second). Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in the following areas of corporate strategy, market assessment, and business process management.
- Knowledge in business management and business process design.
- Experience of contributing to the delivery of work streams or projects, in a consulting or in‑house environment.
- Exposure to one or more of the following; strategic planning, operational management, program Leadership, or financial management.
- Familiarity with the following key industries public sector, financial services, and consumer business.
- Effective facilitation and presentation skills and strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Good people management skills and experience in managing clients relationships.
- Well-developed computer user skills.
- The ability or willingness to contribute to business development, through support bids for new business.
