Context/Scope

Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of close to 30%.  SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is partly owned by one of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage companies, DIAGEO. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and Moshi. The company boasts famous locally brewed brands, such as Serengeti Premium Lager, Tusker Lager, Tusker Light, Kibo Gold, Pilsner Lager, Senator just to name a few. The spirits folder is filled with world-class brands from abroad – including Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Baileys, J&B and Gordon’s.

SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14.

Main Purpose

To coordinate and to maintain a schedule of all customer payments and PDC and ensuring that this information is accurately captured and updated by SSC in SAP. Also ensure customer orders and payment slips and sending to SSC for order creation

Key Accountabilities

• Maintaining a schedule of customers, payments and PDC and ensuring this is updated in SSC in SAP

• Leasing with SSC to ensure right payment allocation against invoices

• Coordinating with SSC for customer invoice adjustments

• Ensure all banking are correctly done on time and manage bounced cheques

• Accurate and timely management of customer balances

• Collect customers orders and payment slips and sending to SSC for order creation

• Running stock availabilty checks/reports and engaging the customers for order amendments

• Engaging SSC orders creation team for order amendments

• Running reports in SAP that will assist in their daily activities

Qualifications and Experience Required:
  
• Formal business qualification essential (Relevant Degree or Diploma)

• Min. 2 years commercial experience in a sales-/marketing/ or trade marketing environment
