Geology Database & QAQC Manager

Our Client - A mid tier diversified exploration and production mining company with operations throughout the African continent, is looking to recruit a Geology Database & QAQC Manager to be based at Head Office with lots of exciting travel.  

Job Description –

The Geology Database and QAQC Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of new geological databases for the company's projects, and to subsequently provide support to the groups projects with regards to the databases and QAQC. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that best practice is achieved at project sites and ensure ongoing training and mentoring of staff for the development of the database. The role will also require compiling monthly QAQC reports for the companies projects and review of reports generated by the projects themselves. PRevious experience in resource and reserve evaluation together with database management and implementation will be essential in performing this role.

Candidate Requirements –

The ideal individual will be Degree qualified with at least 10 years of experience in geology and database management, together with registration with SACNASP or an equivalent professional organisation. Advanced experience in database administration skills in MS SQL and Acquire is essential. Advanced QAQC training in multiple commodities is an advantage.
