Project/Proposal Summary:
To conceptualize and undertake monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of USAID Tanzania’s Feed the Future (FtF) program over a five-year period to enable USAID/Tanzania to fulfill its performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and dissemination requirements as mandated in the Automated Directives System (ADS) and other Agency guidance. The project will both deliver M&E services and strengthen local capacity to deliver such services.
Position Summary:
MSI is looking for a Capacity Building and Training Specialist, ideally with experience in communications and outreach. This individual will be responsible for providing training and capacity building in M&E tools and facilitation, organizational development, approaches, system design, and methodologies to partners, institutions, project staff, and ministry officials as necessary. This individual will also be responsible for oversight of project communications and outreach, dissemination of results, success stories, and knowledge sharing mechanisms at local, national, and project levels.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement training and capacity building programs for project staff, partners and ministry officials in areas including M&E tools and facilitation, organizational development, approaches, system design, and methodologies;
· Provide capacity building and organizational strengthening to local Implementing partners, institutions, and government officials;
· Responsible for communications and outreach at national, project, and local levels, including the dissemination of results and success stories.
Qualifications:
· Substantial background in training and capacity building required.
· Experience with communications, outreach, social media and learning/knowledge sharing preferred.
· Experience training in relevant areas, including monitoring and evaluation, facilitation, organizational development and/or system design;
· Experience in organizational and human capacity building approaches and methodologies;
· Strong written and oral communication skills required;
· Experience in nutrition/agriculture projects preferred;
· Professional level fluency in both English and Kiswahili;
