Job Title: EHS Operations Manager
Department: EHS
Job Purpose:
Provide leadership in developing and delivery of the in-country EHS strategy and to take the lead in implementation of related standards and procedures
Responsibilities/Key Objectives:
• Develop and deliver the EHS management system.
• Establish and manage an EHS audit and compliance programme as well as reporting on the KPIS.
• Identify country EHS laws & regulations as well as ensure compliance to these laws.
• Provision of EHS support and resources to site activities, including drilling, operations, marine and corporate social enterprise "projects and to ensure that these activities are done i.n line with the EHS procedures.
• Manage EHS consultants as well as the contractor.
• Develop and institute a risk management programme & implement safe systems of work.
• Oversee EHS training, manage incident investigation and review the programme as well as EHS statistical reporting.
• Deliver nationalization and succession plans in the EHS team by coaching, grooming, mentoring and being responsible for staff training and development.

Job requirement
Experience and Education:
• 10 years experience in exploration & Production EHS management.
• Demonstrate and prove capability to implement safe systems of work in an operating explora¬tion and production environment.
• Remote site and developing country experience, preferably in Africa is desirable.
• Experience at senior business level in EHS Management in the private sector.
• Experience in crisis emergence and management planning.
• Risk assessment methodologies.
• Degree or HND qualification in EHS or engineering related discipline.
• 10 years experience in exploration & Production EHS management.
