The Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) is an independent commission set up under Section 215 of the Constitution of Kenya. Its core mandate is to recommend the basis for equitable sharing of revenues raised nationally between the National and the County Governments; and sharing of revenue among the County Governments.
The CRA invites applications for the position of Commission Secretary.
The incumbent will be the Chief Executive of the Commission and will be appointed on a three year term renewable on satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive package.

- Coordinate and manage the day to day affairs of the Commission.
- Attain Commission's vision and mission through the implementation of its strategic plan;
- Mobilize and manage the resources of the Commission to achieve the core mandate;
- Prepare the Commission's Annual Plans and Estimates;
- Oversee financial and administrative management of the Commission;
- Provide requisite leadership to ensure the Commission attains a high level of competitiveness and ethical standards in all its programmes.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
- Applicants should possess at least a Masters degree in economics; finance or its equivalent from a recognized university.
They should also possess the following:
- At least ten years distinguished administrative experience in a public or private institution; Knowledge of national policies and strategies governing the provision of services, resource mobilization and social protection;
- Ability and leadership skills to effectively coordinate researchers and consultants for the Commission;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the use of modern communication technologies and computer literacy;
- Ability to nurture partnerships and collaborative alliances with relevant stakeholders;
- Highest ethical standards, integrity and professionalism.
