Job Title: Asset Protection Manager - Contract
Department: EHS
Job Purpose:
Provide leadership in developing and delivery of the in-country Asset Protection strategy and take the lead in the implementation of Asset Protection (AP) standards, in particular the
development and implementation of:
• Crisis and Emergency Management systems
• Business Continuity Planning
• Operational security
Responsibilities/Key Objectives:
• Responsible for planning and executing security strategies to protect people, assets, operations and projects within Uganda.
• Early detection and reporting of actual and potential threats to ensure awareness of emerging risks are established and managed.
• Develop and deliver a security policy, plan an asset protection risk management programme, as well as engineer security designs and technology.
• Manage, mentor and coach the Asset Protection team as well as deliver the nationalization and succession plan.
• Management of Security Contracts.
• Oversee and implement the Crisis Emergency Management (CEM) Programme.
• Develop and train CEM teams to ensure emergency response preparedness.
• Business continuity planning and preparedness.
• Oversee travel security management.
• Manage formal and informal networks of information sources, contacts and liaise with private and governmental agencies to support early detection of threats to Tullow interests.
• Manage and oversee investigations into security breaches, incidents or loss of assets

Experience & Education
• Graduate Level Education in Politics, International Relations or Security Risk Management.
• 10 years experience in Exploration & Production, Asset Protection management or experience in a similar role.
• Experience in managing security risk operations in developing countries or high risk
• environments in public or private sector organizations with a sound understanding of Global Human Rights and Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Remote site experience.
• African and East African experience is desirable.
• Experience at senior business level in security & political risk management in private sector. » Knowledge of security an
• Security engineering design & technology - protection of information, structures and installations.
• Risk assessment methodology.
• Experienced in Crisis Management planning, o/ganization and-training.
• Familiar with the implementation of emergency response'and business continuity plans.
• Adept in threat and risk analysis to business as well as business continuity planning
