Project/Proposal Summary:
To conceptualize and undertake monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of USAID Tanzania’s Feed the Future (FtF) program over a five-year period to enable USAID/Tanzania to fulfill its performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and dissemination requirements as mandated in the Automated Directives System (ADS) and other Agency guidance. The project will both deliver M&E services and strengthen local capacity to deliver such services.
Position Summary:
The Financial Manager will oversee all aspects of project financial management, and work closely with the Chief of Party on project implementation and reporting. S/he will also be responsible for USAID financial reporting and compliance issues.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee project financial management, including budget preparation and tracking, procurement, and any sub-contracts)
· Establish a financial system and set of protocols that enable transparency, accountability and accuracy;
· Responsible for all project financial reporting, both to USAID and MSI HQ;
· Monitor financial activities and keep the Chief of Party informed of the status and potential issues;
· Work closely with both the field and home office project and finance staff.Qualifications:
· Prior experience managing finance for USAID funded programs. Substantial experience with USAID funded contracts strongly preferred.
· In depth knowledge of USAID regulations, as well as Tanzanian law.
