Restless Development is the national banner carrier for youth-led development. We’ve been in Tanzania since 1993, growing, changing and responding to the most urgent issues facing young Tanzanians. Our work in Tanzania has been cited best practice for our unrivalled methodologies by the World Bank and UNICEF and we are this year winners of the 2014 Resolve Award from the Global Leaders Council for Health. Directly reaching over 110,000 young people across 14 regions each year, it is our young volunteers and youth led networks that lead and deliver transformative change.
As part of a consortium of organizations Restless Development is the youth technical lead within the ‘FAHAMU, ONGEA, SIKILIZWA’ project. The project aims to improve capacities of young people to participate in the election process as future voters, monitors, and contestants.
We will achieve this by educating young people on the process, their rights, and their responsibilities as citizens; activate young people to register, vote, and take part in the elections in other roles (such as monitors and contestants), and work closely with the electoral bodies to ensure young people have space to participate. This project will be implemented on the ground by a team of skills Restless Development alumni and community volunteers in eighteen regions of the country.
Your role will be to support implementation of FAHAMU, ONGEA, SIKILIZWA by leading all aspects of project monitoring, reporting, and coordination of evaluation processes. You will be supervised by our Senior Project Coordinator, and work closely with the M&E unit who will provide technical support and oversight in your role. You will train and coach project officers, volunteers, partners and stakeholders on monitoring and reporting, and play a pro-active role in gathering case studies, and sector information for external audiences. As a member of the project team you will take part in raising the profile and visibility of the project and Restless Development, acting as an ambassador and role model at all times.
Are you an ambitious, self-driven, experienced young professional who is ready to be challenged? Are you ready to push yourself and maximize your potential? If so, Restless Development Tanzania is looking for YOU!
