Organizational Development Innovator

Youth Challenge International (YCI) is recruiting a Youth Innovator between the ages of 21 and 35 with skills and experience in organizational development to support YCI’s local partner Labayka Development Organization in Zanzibar, Tanzania for a five–week project.

This exciting opportunity will include a pre-project distance-learning program, followed by an intensive five-week placement in Tanzania. While in Tanzania, you will work with YCI’s partner, the Labayka Development Organization, to support their organizational capacity. 

Key Project Activities Include: 

• Collaborate with the Labayka Development Management team to prepare an Organization Development Plan 

• Build the capacity of Labayka Development Management team on Organization Policy (HR, Finance etc) development 

• Build the capacity of Labayka Development Organization on basic human resource management, resource mobilization, and a simple finance or accounting computerized system

Recommended Skills and Experience: 

• Experience in human resource management, organizational resource mobilization techniques and/or computerized accounting systems 

• Skills in organizational development 

• Experience in designing and developing organization policy 

• Prior overseas experience

Fundraising Goal:

YCI volunteers are required to fundraise and/or contribute a minimum of $600 for these projects to contribute towards YCI’s global youth development programs.

• Airfare 

• Personal expenses 

• Visa fees 

• Participants will be expected to obtain the required vaccinations and take anti-malarials at their own expense
