Director of Research, Policy and Planning

The Capital Markets and Securities Authority is an independent Government Agency established under the CMS Act No.5 of 1994 for the purpose of designing and implementing purposeful measures which will enable the creation and development of sustainable capital markets that are efficient, transparent, orderly, fair and equitable to all.

To increase its capability to effectively carry out its mandate, the Capital Markets and Securities Authority is seeking to engage self motivated, competent, and qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill the following vacant positions: .

Supervises: Managers Research and Policy

Entry Qualifications'

Holder of a Masters degree in Economics, Statistics or Business Administration with specialisation in
Accounting or Finance with twelve years of work experience, five of which must be in a senior managerial position in a reputable institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

To head the Directorate of Research, Policy. and Planning
Advising the Chief Executive Officer on policy, research, and planning matters,
Reviewing the performance of CMSA corporate goals of the previous planning period highlighting the
goals and respective actions plans
Under the auspices of the Chief Executive Officer shall be involved in the determination of the CMSA long term goals and preparation of a plan designed to achieve these goals,
Coordination of procurement of donor funds for the implementation of CMSA projects
Coordinating and preparing the overall plan based on inputs received from various directorates and independent departments
Under the auspices of the Chief Executive Officer coordinating the preparation and providing guidance of preparing the corporate plan and-Annual Reports
Designing policies and implementing strategies for deepening, broadening and increasing efficiency in the market
Participating in the review and evaluation of applications for public issuance of securities
Designing and implementing continuous professional education programs for market participants;
Participating in capital markets regional integration initiatives
Performing any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

Remuneration
Attractive remuneration, commensurate to CMSA scheme of Service will be offered to successful candidates.
